(NEWSER)– Before Bill Cosby's show last night in Melbourne, Fla., a local radio station offered $1,000 to anyone who heckled him and got it on video. Nobody collected, as Cosby was instead greeted with a standing ovation and "overwhelming support" from the sell-out crowd, reports NBC News. Cosby did not mention the renewed rape allegations against him in his 90-minute routine. The only outburst came from an audience member who yelled, "We love you, Bill Cosby!"

In an interview before the show, Cosby defended his public silence about the charges, reports WTSP. "I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn't have to answer to innuendos. People should fact-check." He also criticized the radio station's heckling offer. "The thing is, these people are prodding and pushing people and asking people to have a frat-house mentality," he says. "Now suppose someone brings a weapon or decided to do more foolishness."
